How to Dress for Your Body Shape
(And Finally Feel at Home in Your Own Skin)
Every woman I've ever worked with — regardless of her size, her age, her background — has stood in front of a mirror at some point and felt like her body was the problem. Too wide here, too narrow there. Too much of this, not enough of that.
I want to tell you something I've learned in 20 years of dressing women of every shape and size: your body is not the problem. The clothes are.
More specifically — the mismatch between the clothes and the body wearing them. When that mismatch is resolved, something remarkable happens. A woman stops fighting her reflection and starts working with it. She stops hiding — and starts showing up.
"Every body is a good body. The difference is knowing exactly how to dress it."
That's the foundation of my course Dressing for Your Body Shape — and it's what I want to explore with you today.

Why "Dressing for Your Body Shape" Gets It Wrong
You've probably seen the advice before. Pear shape? Wear A-line skirts. Apple shape? Empire waist. Hourglass? Lucky you — wear everything.
Here's the problem with that approach: it treats your body as something to be corrected. As if the goal of getting dressed is to look like a different body type entirely. And that approach, however well-intentioned, leaves women feeling like they're always one wrong outfit away from "getting it wrong."
My approach is different. We don't dress to disguise. We dress to celebrate. We work with proportion, balance, and line — not to create an illusion of a different body, but to bring out the best in the one you actually have.
Proportion Is Everything
The secret to dressing well for any body shape comes down to one word: proportion. Not size, not shape — proportion. The relationship between different elements of an outfit, and how they interact with your specific silhouette.
A wide trouser on one woman looks overwhelming. On another, it's the most elegant thing in the room. The difference isn't the trouser — it's understanding how that particular volume works with that particular body.
Once you understand your own proportions — your actual measurements, your visual balance points, your natural lines — getting dressed becomes so much simpler. You stop second-guessing and start choosing with confidence.
The Biggest Mistake Women Make When Dressing Their Body
In my experience, the most common mistake isn't choosing the wrong silhouette. It's buying clothes that don't fit properly and assuming that's just how clothes fit.
Fit is everything. A perfectly fitted simple dress will always look better than an expensive designer piece that doesn't quite work on your body. And yet most women have wardrobes full of pieces that almost fit — that fit in the shop, that fit on a good day, that would fit if only they lost a few kilos.
This course changes that completely. We start with fit — understanding what it actually means for your specific body — and build from there. Because when a garment fits properly, confidence follows automatically.
